This second home in a Texas Regional Modern vernacular is located deep in East Texas, land of iron ore soil. The multi-purpose family retreat includes a main living area, as well as guest casitas.

Secluded among rustic oak and pine trees of East Texas, Iron Creek Ranch is a private nature preserve and recreational retreat. Rolling hills, an open-canopy savanna, dense forest, and an abundant natural water supply create an exceptional wildlife habit.

Near the Elkhart property is the Pilgrim Predestinarian Baptist Church (Calvinists), organized in 1833. The members met in Daniel Parker’s home, until the church could be erected in 1846 for its growing population. The Parker Family graveyard adjoins this oldest Baptist church in Texas.
